The Georgia Muslim Voter Project (GAMVP) is a non-partisan, non-profit (501c3) organization created to increase political participation among Muslim Americans and educate our communities about the importance of voting. The mission of GAMVP is to educate Muslims in Georgia to register to vote, show up to the polls, and increase voter turnout in elections through voter education, registration drives, and grassroots organizing. We believe that in order to cultivate lifelong voters, we truly need to engage voters in every local, state, and national election. We envision an active, engaged American Muslim voting bloc, capable of upholding the equitable rights of American Muslims.

The mission of GAMVP is to empower Muslims across Georgia to register to vote, show up to the polls, and increase voter turnout in elections through voter education, registration drives, and grassroots organizing. We envision an active, engaged American Muslim voting block capable of upholding the equitable rights of American Muslims.

    Position Overview

    GAMVP is currently seeking trusted community members who are well-connected, organized, and passionate about strengthening democratic participation within Georgia’s Muslim and underserved communities. Relational Organizers will engage friends, family members, neighbors, and community contacts, virtually and in familiar spaces, to promote voter registration, register new voters online, and encourage participation in the 2026 primary elections. Prior organizing or political experience is not needed. Organizers will receive training, support, and tools from GAMVP to guide their outreach.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Engage members of your personal and community networks through in-person conversations, texts, calls, and social media

    • Encourage individuals to check their voter registration status

    • Assist eligible voters with completing online voter registrations accurately

    • Share accurate, nonpartisan information about voter registration obstacles and deadlines, in addition to the 2026 May primary election

    • Track outreach and engagement activities using the provided tools and systems

    • Participate in required trainings, check-ins, and program meetings

    • Meet weekly outreach, and contact goals

    • Communicate all relevant information and provide timely responses to supervisors

    • Represent GAMVP professionally and respectfully within the community

    Desired Skills, Abilities, and Experiences:

    • Must be at least 18 years of age, eligible to work in the United States, and have valid identification

    • Deep, authentic connections within Georgia’s Muslim or other underserved communities

    • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage details, work independently within the programs guidelines, and follow through with minimal direct supervision

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    • Licensed driver with insurance and own transportation, clean driving record, and willingness to travel throughout Georgia. Mileage reimbursement is available 

    • Reliable access to a phone and/or internet

    • Ability to learn and use various tech and organizing tools

    • Personally committed to advancing GAMVP’s values, mission, and programs

    Position Type and Salary:

    RelationalOrganizer is a temporary part-time, primarily virtual position with a compensation of $3000 stipend.
